Editorial policy
The blog combines my own projects with a curated technology chronicle. Every curated post names the original source and links directly to it.
Selection
Selected content has lasting practical or historical value for Linux, networks, systems operations, open technology and DIY.
Summaries
Summaries, ideas, insights, facts and recommendations are condensed independently. Quotes appear only sparingly and with attribution. A blog post never replaces the original.
Source abbreviations
Recurring sources are labelled compactly: HN stands for Hacker News, CCC for media.ccc.de, CLT for Chemnitzer Linux-Tage, DIYP for DIY Perks, KG for Kurzgesagt, SD for Slashdot, g for Golem and hß for heise. The full names are also shown directly in the blog.
Translation
bk99.de is written in German. The English version is a translation of the German posts; dates, numbers and links are the same in both languages.
