A removable wall hides desk cables
Summary
Barbex builds a free-standing Z-shaped panel from veneered chipboard that protects cables and remains removable without modifying the desk. The build took about five minutes. Veneered chipboard cut to size was used.
Ideas
- A Z shape holds the panel without fixing it to the desk.
- The open gap makes moving and maintenance easier.
- Screws stay hidden on the visible side.
Insights
- Simple cable management improves safety and maintainability at the same time.
- Removable covers are better than fixed solutions when things change.
Recommendations
- Leave air and strain relief around power supplies.
